So the thing is the majority of people who go into the LEZ could potentially use it for work purposes if we had trams or anything decent. But we don’t.
Ditto people who put their children into one of the very few childcare providers across the city and then scoot across town in their car to get in for 9am.
There’s lots of micro-instances where this will make life harder for people. Which during a recession is just a bit harder to take.
I agree it’s a step in the right direction but loathe that the people who will be negatively affected by this have no alternative as these measures are not being matched by progressive public transport infrastructure or pricing |
