| Comment | I’d first look into which surgeries you can join within your catchment area and then phone round and see which ones have the availability to take on new patients. You might need to do some trial and error until you find one you like/are comfortable with. ALL GP’s are going to know about EDS. Once you join, I’d phone your old GP and tell them to send a transcript of your medical history up to your new GP, I know it seems like this should be done automatically but unfortunately it doesn’t. Once that’s done, book an appointment to discuss what treatment you’ve had previously, what you’d like to continue with up here and ask them for any suggestions for therapies you haven’t tried/want to try again etc. |
