| Comment | It's probably too late for the OP but for future reference, Oxfam Bookshop Byres Road (or indeed any Oxfam Bookshop) will take ANY books in any condition. If they are too battered to sell, they are sent to redistributing or recycling. Oxfam gets paid by weight for that, not tons but it all adds up. The redistributor then either recycles (if the books are really in terrible condition) or resells them to other outlets.
Afaik it's standard practice among all charity shops, not just Oxfam. |
