It’s not 2 quid dearer it’s 7 quid with a pint which makes it 3.60 on top of the 4.20 pint. Maybe it’s because SnV is so busy that they don’t allow the chips to sit long enough that I feel the chips are always too bright in colour and just undercooked. The fish tastes fresh I agree but the batter has no flavour or character. People like different things from a chippy so it’s preference. Also I just prefer a real chippy instead of a poly box situation with watered down vinegar. Just do it old school and do it right. The paper adds to the way the food sweats after it’s wrapped. That’s a good thing, the vinegar should be straight from the bottle it’s bought in not decanted and watered down.
