| Comment | Check the seals on the inside, if they are peeling away that is why you're getting the noise.
It also means that your windows were fitted on the cheap and don't have foam/insulation between the window itself and the wall/frame.
It's really common and simple enough to fix *if* access is easy. If you have to come at it from the outside, that could be an issue in a tenement, although I would expect them to be push-fit from the inside.
If you have plastic reveals, pop them off and have a look.
