I remember the financial crisis in 2008 because I was 16 and got my first part time job and Gordon Brown cut the Vat rate to encourage people to spend in the run up to Christmas. Yes it was quite worrying but I remember ultimately feeling quite disconnected from it because it was a problem created by the rich for the rich.
I don't feel like that now. Things feel about a million times more fucked than they did then. Not convinced any party or independence can sort it.
Someone said the media isn't reporting on it enough. I'm a journalist and I feel like all I do is write 15 stories a week about how fucked things are right now. How many more times can we say it's fucked and how many more ways can we say it? |
