Surely that depends on the Masters program. If you do a Masters in some low paid, obscure subject then you can hardly complain that the wages are shite if you can even find a job.
If I do a Masters in languages of the bush people of the Brazilian rainforest, I won't find many well paid roles within two bus stops of Bishopbriggs. The OP does not say what their Masters program is, it could be in something really valuable.
Secondly a Masters might be shite for law but not for data science or some other discipline (I am wildly speculating). Just cos your Masters is shite doesn't mean they all are.

Finally as an occasional interviewer maybe I am looking at your CV and wondering why you have gaps and at interview and you give me a less than reasonable answer or you have had eight jobs in seven years or you start the interview by telling me your last boss was a total wank or you just do not perform well at interview. Any number of reasons that do not relate to your Masters whilst you might be unsuitable than the other candidates.
I have recently made a job offer and out of the three shortlisted for a very well paid Bachelors level job. The candidate with the Masters (in our field) got the offer in no small part to having a MSc.
