My brother was in your position 10 years ago. Got an apprenticeship as a plumber, served his time, worked for a few companies then went out on his own. He now owns his house and two porsches at the age of 29.
The demand for a trade is unreal at the moment. If you become a plumber / heating and gas engineer with a preference air source heat pumps you’ll be rolling in it.
That said, it’s a hard graft, need to go where the work is, long hours including weekends but the money is there to be made if you want to graft for it.
