Just adding to what others have mentioned. My boyfriend and I recently moved back to Glasgow and bought a place last year. I had a full time UK job but was on a visa tied to him and he was a freelancer. We both were in Berlin prior to Glasgow so we didn’t have much credit history. The bank needed a 20% deposit from us.
