I used Avanti website as opposed to Trainline when I went down recently. It gave the option of two singles which was cheaper although less flexible. Only booked a couple of weeks in advance but paid about £80 all in.
Train was delayed on the way back due to trepassers on the line and it was super easy to claim the money back
