OP - sorry I don't have anything to offer you, but some cheap options would be:
Blow-up bed
Foam mattress protector for current mattresses (which would resolve the plastic issue with the welfare bed)
Futon
Hammock
Army/Camping cot
Plenty people choose not to sleep on traditional beds, and there are options out there to facilitate that. Might be worth reading more about, and seeing which option is best for your back and your financial situation. All the best mate. |
