Just had the weirdest epiphany. Yesterday I was listening to She’s in Parties by Bauhaus and suddenly realised that the core of the rhythm section (bass, drums, at some times guitar) is basic reggae/dub, not too dissimilar to what The Clash or The Ruts were playing at that time.
