Comment | By dint of being a big city, Glasgow has to provide a lot of stuff other council's don't. Also doesn't help that a lot of the rich areas (Giffnock, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, etc) got carved out of Glasgow for administrative purposes despite still being part of the city proper, so their well-off residents use the city's roads, parks, public transit, museums, sports facilities, and such despite paying not a penny of tax to the city |
