Pretty sure it was as bad as this six years ago.
It does put it into context when you live abroad’s as a while, and come back home to see the disgraceful state of the place.

I personally saw a secondary age lassie walking from the train station picking out rubbish from her bag and throwing it onto the ground. I want to blame bad parenting, but it could just as easily be her choosing to litter, as opposed to not knowing the common courtesy of binning your rubbish.

I’d be having strong words with my kids if I caught them behaving like that. They’d be picking up ALL the litter around to learn a lesson
