I requested a needle uplift during the summer for a discarded syringe.
The bulk uplift van turned up at my door when they couldn't find it.
As I was in and it was closeby I offered to walk them round to the location and we chatted.

In the city centre they had 1 bulk uplift van staffed by 2.
Previously this was 2 vans staffed by 3 each.
Scale this up city wide and you get the scope of the cuts and the resulting midden it has created.

For a film club we watched Ratcatcher set during the early 70's bin strikes, I swear at times, it was like we were watching a documentary rather than a drama.
