It’s definitely doable! It’s hard to get a flat at the minute and it’s more expensive than ever, but compared to Dublin I think cost of living is overall still cheaper.

The rental market might be different than you’re used to - flats that come up tend to be available to move in almost immediately, or at least within 28 days (a tenant’s notice period here). Sometimes the landlord will prioritise a tenant who can move in soonest.
It can be hard to get a flat without being here to view it - closer to your move, you could maybe book a hotel for a few days and try and pack some viewings in!

Try SpareRoom too, you might be able to get a room or pair up with someone who’s in Glasgow and can do flat viewings for you.

Loads of locations here you can make work for you so all I’d say on that is buses are crap, try to be near a train station or subway.

As for finding a job, it doesn’t take long at all if you’re not fussy/are happy to take anything in the interim (loads of hospitality which could be nice for meeting folk, call centres etc) but there’s also loads of grad schemes going here if you’re into tech/finance/banking - these take longer to process and generally start in September and January each year.

Hope this helps! Good luck
