Yeah. If you know you're going to release a young whisky, there are processes you can put in place during production to ensure its smooth and tasty.

The problem is Clydeside apparently never intended to be released as a young whisky. COVID hit and they lost a lot of money they would have generated from tours. I'm told this forced their hand and they needed to release some whisky to generate sales and stay alive. You can tell the whisky was released too early - it's not very smooth and hasn't taken on too much flavour from the casks yet.

They also released a "limited edition" whisky for the G20 summit, but there were so many bottles that it really wasn't rare at all.

They just haven't started well but they could always improve.

All this being said, I have met people who enjoy their whisky, but they seem to be in the minority
