I am in the same situation. Had a few providers (currently virgin) and due to the thickness of the walls, the range is terrible. We did try a WiFi extender/booster with a slight improvement, but gotten used to having poor signal in our bedroom (including 4g). Need to have the router close to the sitting room to get a good signal to stream on our TV
