This is not accurate and they should stop saying this. Being affiliated with the Trade Union Congress and being a recognised trade union in the UK are not the same thing. IWW is indeed a recognised trade union in the UK and has been since 2006:

This is objective fact. They can't really argue this point. Whether or not this was a wildcat strike or not and is therefore subject to strike protections is another thing but IWW certainly is a union in the UK. To continually get this wrong undermines them significantly |
