| Comment | I guess what bugs me is that the placing of such advertising by nature is trying to grab the attention of people in cars, and in the UK the average lone driver rate is 65% (90% for commuting) so the argument that these are meant for passengers doesn't convince me. And signage exists to increase safety for everyone on the road and conveys important information, which advertising doesn't do.
Ultimately, I know it is drivers's responsibility to stay focused but I just wish they didn't put things out there whose purpose it is to split their attention.
I do have a strong dislike of advertising though, so I will concede I am somewhat biased here! |
