Waterstones on Sauchiehall St is nice.

Not so much coffee and cake, in the Savoy Centre there is a wee sweetie shop that has a lot of cheap, nearing their best before date but still good items.
Stock up on them cheaply so you don't have to remortgage the house on cinema sweets.
