To add to this - I’m response to 3 (what else to consider) - homes don’t usually sell for what they are advertised for on rightmove/zoopla. You need to obtain a copy of the home report to see what the home report value (HRV) is. If it’s a not-so-desirable area, you might be able to pay HRV, or a bit less for a doer upper. If it’s in a desirable area, you may need to offer over HRV, and the bank won’t lend you this additional money so it will need to be in cash alongside your deposit.

You will also need a solicitor to make offers on properties.

Determining what is and isn’t a popular location, and how much to offer on a property is a fun game. Getting yourself a good mortgage advisor will really help as they know the market well, and the more you pay for one the more helpful they are likely to be.
