Not paying is fine, just don't watch any live TV or use the iPlayer. If you want to do either of those things (and it seems like you do), then you'll need to pay.
Keep in mind, the Tories *want you* to stop paying. That way the BBC collapses and the only media left is their rich chums like Murdoch.
As for the fine, that's going to depend on the *exact* nature of the email and what information you have handed over.
My advice, stop watching iPlayer and hope they leave you alone. But maybe put some cash aside just in case. |
