Yeah pal, they'll understand you just fine... Glaswegian are, generally speaking, lovely people. Don't go wearing football colours around unless you know what you're getting yourself into, though. I'm also brazilian and I've been living here for a while now, struggled a bit in the beginning but you get used to it pretty fast.
