I’m not saying that the redevelopment plans for Buchanan Street and St Enochs are great but they are replacing something that’s worse. The real shame is the loss of the amazing buildings for more generic crap.

We need a bold plan to renovate some of the amazing buildings that are currently offices / derelict into high quality flats and bring back more green space. It doesn’t need to be large scale green space, most of the roads are 4 lanes so there is a chance to green these and make city centre living attractive.

Glasgow has so much potential but we need to really sort it and stop pandering to developers creating another generic urban centre with no character.
