The owners have quite rightly seen that the era of shopping centres is dead, they're just not profitable anymore as most people do their shopping online. The St Enoch's replacement is essentially going to be knocking down the entire centre and replacing it with a mix of mid-rise residential, commercial and office buildings with pedestrianised streets in-between the various buildings. |
