No 4 or 4a bus from Battlefield Rest takes you to the uni and byres rd. Its generally fine.
No 6 bus goes up GWR but takes a bit longer.
No 3 from Shawlands goes by Kelvingrove art gallery and into Partick.
I wouldnt describe public transport as bad from Langside at all.
