We flew to Faro aged 2 and it was fine enough.
This was Glasgow->Gatwick then train, and/or you could do Glasgow->Southampton/Bournemouth.
Main advice: download stuff onto your phone, loads of snacks, get a wee magazine with toys from WH Smith as a treat. Gatwick has a half-decent kids-play bit which is a God-send.
It's exhausting but alright. I handed her over to nursery today and near-enough collapsed.
