| Comment | Plenty of exceptions, the two landlords I had were completely sound and charged me below what I would have expected to pay at the time for the flat. I appreciate I have been pretty lucky in that regard but they are out there. Both mine were sourced direct via ads and not an agency though which might be the trick. Agencies (supposedly) give you better protections but they do also hugely encourage landlords to charge maximum possible rents. |
