| Comment | The Gallowgate is full of Celtic pubs, Saracen Head, Hoops Bar, The Squirrel- and a few others, and you'll get a decent atmosphere in all of those. If you're coming from Edinburgh, the Gallowgate is only a 10 minute walk away. If you want to get a little bit closer to the stadium both The Wee Mans Bar and The Drover further up the Gallowgate will be decent although they will be super busy before the game, so if you wanted to get in there you'd need to head in very early.
There are a couple of pubs right outside the stadium, The Real McCoy and The Turnstiles that again are always full before games and full of half time leavers and there are a few up at Parkhead Cross. I've had a few beers in The Prince Charlie before games and I suspect they'll be jumping as well, but well worth it if it's your first experience of the game, so enjoy it. |
