| Comment | Try not to worry, to put it plainly - school is shite, I'm also neurodiverse and school was mostly a waste of time for me too. College (and uni) is much better. It's far too easy to come out of school thinking you're stupid but that's just because the school system is so bad and not a reflection on you.
Also don't worry about getting the right marks to get into uni, you can take a couple of years to understand what you want to learn about and then get in through an Access Course. Trust me when I say it's much better in further education, not only have they got a greater institutional understanding of neurodiversity but they actually have interesting stuff to learn and usually drop most of the bullshit.
It's not you that's dumb, it's the school system, it has no regard for anything other than exam results, your actual education and experience doesn't matter. You will do much better in further education and you'll pick up confidence much easier. |
