I guess it would come down to things like. How much is it going to cost and how many people are going to get compulsory purchase orders, there isn't really a lot of green space to build it and lots of the city is residential so you could end up forcing lots of people to move. (think how slow HS2 when due to comp purchases)


I guess you could close the M8 from kingston and force everyone onto 74 then then 73 to get to the remaining part of the M8 / M80. You would probably need to keep some of the roads but not all the roads to be honest (including the bridge). If you moved the LEZ to the start of the Kingston bridge / m73 junction that could be a good place to start as it would force all the lorries away.
