| Comment | Linen is probably your best bet. Never been in Sweeney's, The Georgic, James Tassie or Finlay's, so can't vouch for or against them. Phillies is more or a restaurant, great with pals but not for meeting people.
The others (Curious Liquids, Oscar's, G41 Kilmurray's) are more cocktail/wine bars.
TBH, Shawlands is a bit shit for bars.
A bit further North in Strathbungo you have Allison Arms, Heraghty's, Koelschip, Rum Shack. There's also Bingo, Zinfandel, Titwood, Regent, Marchtown, Stag & Thistle, Brodie's, and poss some I am forgetting right now.
Just a bit East of those in Govanhill you have the Bell Jar.
All in all, much more choice and variety. |
