| Comment | can i bring something about having a blue badge in glasgow? my friend uses a wheelchair and relies on their car to get around. they do have a blue badge but maybe 1 out of 10 times, they can actually use a disabled parking space because it's always filled by karen in her range rover or some raging jizzstain in his fancy german breif. oh and god forbid my friend asks if they could use the parking space. they once had someone start yelling at them saying they don't need a disabled parking space after they were forced to use a regular one.
glasgow only has like 12 parking attendants and their notoriously shit at their job given that my friend has been ticketed for forging a blue badge and because the council spends so long investigating these things, it's easier just to pay the £30 parking fine, start the counter claim then claim the refund. keep in mind that process takes a few weeks and my friend only makes around £1000 a month. if they get more than 5 tickets in that month (which is fairly common) that's £150 they then have to try claiming back. aka
my friend's experience is most people who drive in this city don't give a shit about disabled folk but are happy to wave it around when someone suggests maybe they don't need to drive everywhere just so they can keep being a dick. |
