Seems like your issue is WiFi and not broadband.

To be certain though, reboot the VM router and connect via cable. If it all seems fine, then you know what the issue is.

Possible solutions:

1. Check WiFi channels in your area, sometimes the routers are a bit thick about picking clean ones. 5Ghz is faster, but penetrates less far than 2.4Ghz; do what you can to ensure clients pick the right band (this _might_ mean turning off 5Ghz - slow but stable is often better)
1. Get a better router, possible some APs too (all depending on the size of your gaff). You can the VM router in "modem mode" (their router is complete garbage) and your new router doing all the real work. If adding extra APs, spend a bit of time figuring out your dead spots and making sure you get better coverage. If you can, connect these via cable back to the router, either that or use the "mesh" type and be careful about placement. Powerline can also work, but performance depends on your electrics; they can also kick out interference
1. Get a new ISP. Vodafone offer a "Pro" level that comes with extra APs etc. What is "best" depends on where you live and what your needs are. WARNING: You may have to pay a penalty for exiting your contract early
