Comment | Firstly, I think this sounds shite and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. I'm not and never have been in a band but I've enjoyed seeing various pals and others play in Glasgow, and I'd hate to think that folk were not getting paid after I went to a venue specifically to see them.
In terms of outing RocknRollas, even if they pay you now, the fact that you needed to fight for it means it's worth sharing the info with other acts, so don't feel bad about airing their dirty laundry.
If they don't end up paying you, and it's the definitely the venue that owes you (not a third party promoter) I'd be inclined to write it off but take some form of spiteful revenge, like going in as a big group, ordering plenty of food and booze then just leaving without paying, perhaps citing personal/mental health issues...
Or maybe I'm just a petty bastard. I did once get a Cease and Desist letter from a lawyer for a driving school that fucked me over, as I'd called and left them 400 blank voicemails over the course of one very angry week (I was driving a lot and had hands-free at my disposal)! |
