it's one of those places where you CAN go there and make friends, but as mentioned before, a lot of their clients is people in their 20's and 30's and it can be a bit overwhelming in there so if they have sensory issues, it might be a bit tricky. i've had to leave there a few times because of loud arguments 2 tables over.

a good tip is actually to go onto facebook and type what she's interested in followed by glasgow and see if there's any clubs or groups. if she doesn't have facebook, there's a lot of shops in town that cater to different interests, maybe ask them if there's any groups or places where she can try. most of these shops have their ears close to the "scene" of whatever their into so can warn who/what to avoid.
