Raising a kid in a flat is totally fine. Loads do. But if you can afford to be picky then I’d be looking for park proximity or a great back court.

There’s loads of people in south Lanarkshire who’d prefer to be closer to the city but are doing the same trade for space versus proximity. So you will find like minded people. It can also be easier to find childcare provision in the burbs.
