There is a bus stop on my doorstep. Train stain is 15min walk. Don’t have a car. I have taken the bus once in my time living here.

So many reasons it is hellish for me. The main one is trying to figure out which bus is the one you need. Trying to figure out how much it will cost. Trying to figure out when it might actually come. Then once your on it, it stops everywhere and feels like you could be getting to the destination quicker by walking.

Train in comparison is on a fixed line. You know where it’s going and it stops at all the stations along the way. It does have its faults, sometimes is late, sometimes is rowdy. But still a much better experience.

If bike infrastructure was better, and cycling felt safer, I would consider that as a second option after the train. For now, it’s a taxi.
