| Comment | While that is true, it’s a tightening of purses for sure, nobody was coming into the area for coffee. Their biggest competitor would have been The Steamie, which shut because of their rent going up exorbitantly, the Cran, and maybe the tea room ?
I think more of the issue would be people not coming out or venturing out as much as they may have, or sticking in their own areas with either chains or comparative shops. It’s honestly such a heartbreaking thing seeing it go because it was lovely and the owners were lovely as well. |
