I put off getting back into driving so I could finish uni, work for a while and save up before getting out there again, but I had to become a full time carer for my dad and lessons are almost £40 an hour. In the meantime, I pay almost £55 a month for a bus pass, it's not ideal especially because the buses are awful right now, I can stand there for 20 minutes and in that time four buses should have passed. I don't live near the train stations, the subway is too far out, taxis are expensive and it would take me 50 minutes to walk to a supermarket, each way. |
