| Comment | I used to climb into building sites and shit as a kid and I'd tell my folks I was just going round to the field to play football. I used to jump bin sheds and climb trees that would most likely seriously injure me if I fell off them.
Not every parent is there monitoring their kids 24/7. Kids lie to their parents as well. It's a horrid thing and aye, there are parents that could do a bit more tbh but it's a tragedy.
Parents that keep an eye on their kid 24/7 and don't allow them to have independence create people that populate this subreddit that crumble and burst into tears when someone outside is making a bit of noise after 7pm with absolutely zero personal or life skills.
And just to add to this, my parents were fairly strict and I'd have had my arse skelped and grounded big time if they found me doing any of this and I had a strict curfew. |
