Comment	This sub isn't a real accurate representation of the vast majority of Glasgow tbh. By in large, the general populace of this sub sneers at any notion of working class upbringings and working class activities in general (see any time a football topic is posted on here). The amount of sheltered/ privileged people in the Glasgow sub far outweigh your average Glasgow punter. I lived in a pretty isolated area until I was about 10 or so then moved to another place in Castlemilk where I'd go out at 9 in the mornings and would come back until lunch for a scran then fuck off again til about 6 o clock. Pretty much every weekend and during the summer holidays especially. And it wasn't because my parents "threw me out in the morning". It's because playing with mates and going out was fun, and I wasn't a wee sheltered kid with parents that had money, or a kid that sat in the house all day doing fuck all. I was out doing stupid shite like building dens, climbing trees, and the life goal as a child. Building a den IN a tree. We used to have this stone dam like structure down the woods that was meant to stop flood water and it was long and narrow. You could walk across it but when it was dry, it was about a 15 foot drop. The "sausage bridge" as it was affectionately known in Castlemilk. We used to run across it all the time, it had moss and shit on it that probably made it quite dangerous to run across. My folks had no clue I'd be doing that shit. If I fell off it I'm breaking something at the very least depending how I land. Weans are stupid but some of the warped views on how parenting should work makes me realise how a lot of this sub end up socially stunted, who have no clue how the real world works and it makes me understand why there's so many threads like "MY NEIGHBOUR IS PLAYING LOUD MUSIC WHAT DO I DO!?" with half the replies saying "PHONE THE COPS" before it's even suggested that they chap the door and speak to them. Sheltered middle class folk that are shit scared of any form of confrontation and fear the real world because nocunt is there to hawd their hand to guide them through it.
