OP's opinion on someone else's parenting (after their %%$$$ing kid has died) is completely irrelevant! If your kid died after running in front of a car, do you blame the parents??? Same thing.
The people in charge of the big dangerous machine/car/big hole in the ground have the burden of proof to demonstrate they arent responsible. 100% correct in the law and how it should be.
