| Comment | It was a 2004 but it's long gone now and this was over 10 years ago. At the time there wasn't any recall.
We had a guy from Renault come to inspect it and he said there is no way it could just open by itself and it must have been left open by accident. A person would have to very delicately place the bonnet down for it to not catch on the secondary latch. The secondary latch was rated up to 150 mph. None of it added up.
I think watchdog did a thing about it at the time but VOSA declared the latches safe, so I didn't have a leg to stand on.
As you can tell it makes me mad to this day. |
