Now the finger pointing is out of the way, I don't agree with charging for things like this. But what does one cut instead? We already can't pay to fix the roads or reliably collect the bins. Central government is crushing budgets from the top and inflation is destroying them from the bottom. *Something* has to give. Although I have a solution.
Adequately enforce littering laws. Given the amount of shit Glaswegians throw on the ground, that would raise enough money to fund gold plating the bloody place! |
