I was in Bute over the easter holiday, Arran is great but I feel like Bute is extremely underrated, ferry straight into the middle of town, the bus goes around the island from right there. The palm trees and at least for us the hot weather.

Stayed in the Glenburn thinking it would be "ok for sleeping" given it was only like £70 a night but it was a pretty stunning and grand place albiet a tad dated. Mount Stuart is a tad pricey and I wish they would let you hang around and take more photos but still probably the first time I have enjoyed seeing a fancy house like that.

Arran has the better views, but also easier to see those views from Bute
