Sorry bud, but that's categorically untrue. If you were to consider what a bad employer looks like, it's almost always involves shady cost-cutting/profiteering measures; whether that's withholding tips, not offering breaks or manipulating staff to work beyond their salaried hours.

These businesses accept high turnover of staff, as they believe they can have a revolving door, just hiring someone else to screw over to make more money. That's **why** they get to stay open when left unchallenged.

The reality is that if you just leave to find another job, the employer will just fuck over the next poor soul. The mentality is "I'll strike until I and everyone else here now and hereafter gets it".

Be thankful you don't need to understand the mentality, it was union action that made most workplaces bearable and allowed you to become too far removed to appreciate the value of union action.
