It's all about planning your meals ahead. I do have a strict diet so it's always the same foods for me which probably makes it a bit easier. For example, to make up for the lack of carbs, I bulk up on plenty of veg which I get a mix of fresh and frozen i.e: 90p for frozen sweet corn, £2.20 for a huge bag of spinach and £1.10 for a bag of kale, 50p for courgettes :)

The big chunk of the money is spent on meat and fish. For example, they've bumped up the prices of chicken now to a ridiculous amount so I've switched to Turkey breast which is £3 instead of £4.50.


If you've got the time and can pop in and out, they tend to have quite a couple of items always with yellow stickers so they're reduced in price but usually still good for a day or two :)
