If you aren't fussy bout what you eat - reduced items are always a thing at supermarkets, you just got to find that wee section hidden away somewhere. I also tend to use the app To Good To Go now and then, it's a place where you can buy heavily discounted meals from restaurants that couldn't sell all their food for that day but need to get rid of it i.e: Bar Burrito, Pret, Yo Sushi, cafes, etc. For example, a £12 dinner at Pret could be reduced to £3 but it's a surprise each time so you don't know what you'd end up with.
